Thank you to all who voted for the Arch Social club to receive funds from the 2018 Main Streets Campaign. We were very excited to learn that The Arch Social Club in Baltimore made it to the winners circle.
“American Express, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Main Street America announced the winners of the 2018 Partners in Preservation: Main Streets campaign. The 11 winning historic sites will receive grants to fund their preservation projects. In total, $2 million will be disbursed to support preservation work, increase public awareness of these places’ importance, and build grassroots support for the participating Main Street districts.
From an opera house that reflects Leadville, Colorado’s diverse past, to Birmingham’s famous 16th Street Baptist Church that served as backdrop to the Civil Rights movement, to a noodle parlor that became a haven for Chinese immigrants in Butte, Montana, these places reflect America’s diverse past and help guide us to an even brighter future.
